Flexible Transparent Planar Heater Comprising ZnO/Cu/Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>

In this study, we fabricated transparent heaters composed of an ultrathin Cu-layer heating element sandwiched between a ZnO underlayer and Al2O3 overlayer. With the Cu layer thickness fixed at 8.5 nm, thicknesses layers were independently varied to reach optimum antireflecting condition (maximum transmittance 88.3% average visible light 79.8% achieved). The sheet resistances for ZnO/Cu/Al2O3 can be by simply modulating thicknesses. order assess flexibility heaters, constructed structure on flexible polyimide substrates, thermal, electrical, optical mechanical characteristics evaluated. Because planar layer, thermal response was found extremely high, i.e., less than 10 s required 90% target temperatures. Once temperatures reached, heater highly stable with no degradation electrical properties. Furthermore, capability maintained under severe deformation, e.g., bending radius 4 mm. also exhibited sustainable optoelectronic properties repetitive confirming potential commercialization. Finally, demonstrated that rolled around human finger uniform characteristics, rendering suitable wearable, healthcare electronics.
